Reclamation of desert lands with solar energy.
This is what China has been doing for more than five years.
It installs solar panels as umbrellas to cover field crops of tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, vegetables and others. These panels protect crops from sunlight on one hand, and generate electric power on the other hand, and help operate water sprinklers.
